Tell us a little bit about yourself.
I am a Texan by birth, choice, and the grace of God. I grew up in the small country town of Bellville and moved to Kyle in December. I am former military. I love the outdoors and spending time with my family, which includes my fur baby (who loves going to CrossFit with me).
What brought you to CrossFit?
I like to work out but needed something more than a boring gym routine.
How long have you been doing CrossFit?
I have been doing CrossFit for a year and a half. Three months have been at CrossFit hays.
How has CrossFit changed your life, lifestyle, level of fitness?
CrossFit is like a family. There is always someone there to push you and support you. It’s my stress reliever. I have always been a very active person but CrossFit exposes my weaknesses and challenges me to continue to improve.
Favorite CrossFit lift/movement?
Pull-ups, burpees and just about any movement using your own body weight.
Least favorite CrossFit lift/movement?
Thrusters (does anyone like them?)
Name one goal and/or personal record you would like to accomplish through CrossFit.
Ring muscle-ups and handstand walks.
Do you have any advice for someone who is just starting CrossFit?
Never give up and just keep moving. Don’t compare yourself to others; compare yourself to the person you were yesterday.
